By accessing or using JSON Buddy at jsonbuddy.net (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These terms apply to all visitors and users of the Service. Use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of the most current version of these terms.

JSON Buddy provides a collection of free, browser-based developer tools including JSON converters, formatters, diff tools, a JWT decoder, and QR code utilities. All processing occurs entirely within your web browser — no data is transmitted to any server.

The Service is provided free of charge and is supported by display advertising. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure
• Use automated scripts or bots to make excessive requests to the Service
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service beyond what is publicly available
• Use the Service to process data that you do not have the legal right to use

We reserve the right to block access to the Service for any user or IP address that we determine, in our sole discretion, is abusing the Service.

The JSON Buddy name, logo, design, and original content are the property of JSON Buddy and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without prior written permission.

The underlying open-source libraries used by JSON Buddy (such as fast-xml-parser, js-yaml, CodeMirror, and others) are subject to their respective open-source licenses.

Any data you input into the tools remains entirely your own. We make no claim to ownership of your data.

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any output produced by the tools.

You are solely responsible for verifying the correctness of any output before using it in production systems, critical workflows, or any context where an error could cause harm.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JSON Buddy and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service.

This includes, without limitation, any loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

The Service loads resources from third-party providers including Google Fonts, Google Analytics, and Google AdSense. Your use of the Service is also subject to the applicable terms and privacy policies of those third parties.

We are not responsible for the content, practices, or availability of any third-party services linked from or embedded in the Service.

We may update these Terms of Use at any time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after a change is posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
