Privacy Policy

All 17 tools on JSON Buddy process data entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. This includes JSON conversion, XML formatting, YAML diffing, JWT decoding, and QR code generation and reading.

We do not receive, store, log, or transmit anything you paste or type into any tool. Your input and output exist only in your browser's memory tab and are discarded when you close or navigate away from the page.

There is no backend server that handles your requests. There is no database. There are no uploads.

JSON Buddy itself does not set first-party cookies for tracking or authentication. We use browser storage in one place:

• sessionStorage — to remember if you dismissed the bottom anchor ad bar. This is cleared automatically when you close your browser tab.

Third-party cookies are set by Google Analytics and Google AdSense as described above. These follow Google's own cookie policies and retention schedules.

You can view, block, or delete cookies at any time using your browser's privacy settings. Blocking third-party cookies will prevent ad personalisation and may affect how analytics data is counted, but all tools will continue to work normally.

JSON Buddy does not offer accounts, logins, or any form of user registration. We do not collect names, email addresses, passwords, or any personally identifying information through the site itself.

If you email us at hello@jsonbuddy.net, we will receive your email address and the content of your message. We use this solely to respond to you and do not add it to any mailing list.

JSON Buddy loads resources from the following third parties:

• Google Fonts — to serve the Sora and DM Mono typefaces. Google may log font requests.
• Google Analytics — for aggregated usage analytics.
• Google AdSense — for display advertising.

No other external services are loaded. All tool libraries (JSON parsers, diff engines, QR code generators) are bundled with the site and run locally.

JSON Buddy is a general developer tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. We will not notify you individually of updates, so we encourage you to check this page periodically if you have concerns.

Continued use of JSON Buddy after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
